As the Olympic Games have come to a close, security measures have been lifted as well. In-terminal security screening and Waterfront Road vehicle checkpoints are no longer in place as of March 4th.
Paralympic security is in place from March 4 - 24, 2010 but on a much reduced scale from the Olympic procedures; see details below:
- All passengers much be checked-in 30 minutes prior to departure. Passengers will be asked to verify some personal information when they present their Government issued photo ID at check-in. This information will be passed on to the RCMP before a flight is allowed to depart. You do not have to give this information to Helijet but Helijet will not be able to board you onto the flight without it.
- Vehicle access to Vancouver Harbour Terminal is again available via Main Street and Cordova Street
- Pedestrian access to Vancouver Harbour continues via Waterfront Station/SeaBus terminal |
